Olympic Lifters
Physical Demands
Olympic lifting combines explosive speed with very heavy loads. Athletes move rapidly into deep squats while supporting weight overhead, demanding excellent joint mobility, core stability, and muscle coordination. The shoulders, spine, hips, knees, and ankles experience intense forces in short bursts. Small technique faults or limited mobility can significantly increase strain on joints and soft tissues, leading to back pain, shoulder injuries, and tendon problems.
Common Injuries in Adults
-
Shoulder impingement
-
Rotator cuff injuries
-
Lower back pain
-
Wrist and elbow strains
-
Knee tendon injuries
How we can help...
We treat lifting-related injuries with targeted mobility work, strength rehabilitation, and technique support to restore joint health and optimise performance under heavy load. Our specialty also focuses on hands-on treatments and the use of advanced treatment methods such as Shockwave Therapy & Ultrasound Therapy.
✔ Improve mobility for deeper, safer lifting positions
✔ Relieve shoulder, hip, knee, and back pain
✔ Recover faster from tendon and muscle overload
