Dancers
Physical Demands
Dance places extreme demands on flexibility, balance, strength, and repetitive impact. Dancers regularly move through very deep hip positions, rise onto the toes, jump and land repeatedly, and maintain strong posture for long periods. This creates high stress on the feet, ankles, knees, hips, and spine. Because dancers often train many hours per week, the body has little recovery time, increasing the risk of overuse injuries, tendon strain, and stress-related bone injuries, especially in growing performers.
